Cruelty Free Natural Face Mask

Busy mums (and dads!) might not have time to head out to the beauty salon for luxurious treatments and me-time, but you can treat yourself at home. Get the babies in bed, pour a glass of wine, sack off the ironing and enjoy this.

It's cruelty free, entirely natural, and a recipe I've shamelessly stolen from my good friend; self employed hard-working momma, style queen, beauty therapist, gorgeous lady Emma. You'll be hearing more about her very shortly!

You'll need
Lemon juice
Apple cider vinegar
Bicarbonate of soda
Honey (preferably local raw or high grade manuka but any will do)
Rose oil
Tropic organic face elixir - available from: Emma McTague - Tropic
Pestle & mortar
Facial or pastry brush

Method
  1. Cleanse skin and rinse with warm water
  2. Mix lemon juice, a drop of apple cider vinegar and bicarbonate of soda into a paste and cover face
  3. Leave on for 20 mins approx (unless any irritation occurs in which case remove immediately)
  4. Rinse with cool water
  5. Mix honey with a few drops of rose oil and cover face
  6. Leave on for 20 mins then rinse with warm water.
  7. Rinse face with cold water
  8. Once everything removed massage tropic organic face elixir into face and décolletage.

Emma is the genius behind Gold Beauty, based at Origin Health Club in Ripon, North Yorkshire. In addition to being seriously talented, she's seriously beautiful and seriously lovely! Look out for guest posts from her soon, and a feature on one of her many cruelty free treatments.
